Having a newborn came with many more struggles that I never anticipated. Even after all the books and lasses we took, I found myself lost, scared, unsure and many more frustrated feelings. I didn't feel confident as a husband, partner or father. But that's when we met Vic. Working with someone as knowledgeable and empathetic as Vic changed all the feelings I had/we had. First time being a parent is so odd, find the support you need, reach out to others. And if you want to try a postpartum doula, then I recommend the best - Vic.

I ended up hiring a couple of doulas for my postpartum period - a night doula and two daytime doulas, which included Vic. While all were helpful, Vic stood out for me as she went above and beyond. She always anticipated my needs and things I was feeling before I could even say them aloud. She helped me to calm my nerves, process my birth, and make sure I was focusing on my own rest and recovery. Despite my parents not speaking English, she found a way to communicate and connect with them, including them in her sessions of teaching us how to best care for our baby girl. She really provided the full family support that we needed.

There are not enough words or space to say how amazing working with Vic was. We are new parents who were feeling like we were almost drowning because we didn't have the knowledge or skills to care for our little guy. She helped guide us and teach us soothing techniques, cues, and what was normal for his age - all specific to our baby. Not only did she guide us a parents, but she was there for both of us as people and I felt like I really made a friend with Vic who I could talk to about anything and let me vent without judgement and felt seen and heard. I CANNOT recommend Vic enough.
